Dear Neighbor,

I am running for AUHSD Governing Board to continue my advocacy for students, teachers, and parents. I respectfully ask for your vote.

Our two children graduated from Las Lomas and I graduated from Campolindo. I bring a deep connection and commitment to our schools. I have been an actively involved parent advocate for 22 years. As a board member, I will strive to maintain the exceptional educational standards that define AUHSD.

My extensive experience as an involved parent, PTA leader, and community volunteer includes serving on the Executive Board of Las Trampas Creek Council of PTAs which provides support and leadership development to PTA schools within AUHSD attendance area. In my eight-years on the board I have utilized my skills in active listening, mediation, and financial acumen.

I am a strong proponent for providing students with the mental health resources they need to thrive academically and personally. At Las Lomas, I created the first wellness fair for students. I will work to ensure all students feel welcome at school. I served on the PTSA board for eight years, two as President. I was honored with the Su Stauffer Friends of Education Award presented to extraordinary volunteers.

As a current member on the Citizens Oversight Committee for AUHSD Measures G&A, we are tasked with ensuring taxpayer dollars are spent wisely. Through this work, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of the budget challenges facing our district.

I look forward to the opportunity to represent out community on the AUHSD Board.

Respectfully,

Stacey Schweppe
